Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Wednesday from Hartman Chapel for Charles Theodore Brewer, retired merchant and postmaster who made his home at Magnolia, Rt. 2.

Rev. Pressley conducted last rites with Clifton Williams, W. E. Moore, Gerald Mixon, T. C. Williams, Esco Williams and Jerry Brewer serving as pallbearers.

Mr. Brewer was 77, having been born Oct. 6, 1875 in Lincoln County.

For the past two years he had made his home at Rt. 2 Magnolia. Prior to that time he had served as postmaster in Johnston Station and was for a number of years a merchant in McComb. His passing occurred at 10:20 p.m. Tuesday in a Magnolia hospital.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. C. T. Brewer of Magnolia; four daughters, Mrs. W. R. Williams, McComb, Mrs. R. E. Anding, Jackson, Mrs. John R. Kennedy, Magnolia and Mrs. Lloyd McGehee, Columbia; five brothers, A. N. Brewer, Smithdale, I. C. Brewer, McComb, C. A. Brewer, Crowley, La., L. M. Brewer, Baton Rouge, La., and O. C. Brewer, Robinsonville; three sisters, Mrs. Monroe Guy, McComb, Mrs. Frank Ferrell and Mrs. M. T. Gutelius, Long Beach, Calif.; 6 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A son, Charles, preceded him in death, losing his life in the service in '44.

Interment was in Hollywood Cemetery with Hartman Funeral Home in charge of services.
