Ray J. Adams, who had survived 87 harvest seasons, passed away at Hospice House on Sunday, October 12th, 2008. He is survived by his loving wife Florence and forty family members: his stepchildren, Cheryl (Doug) Rolfe of Picture Butte, Alberta, Jerry Tompkins of Vernon, Dayle (Rob) Sweigard of Enderby, Warren (Linda) Tompkins of Enderby, Rick (Dianne) Tompkins of Vernon, Ken (Virginia) Tompkins of Enderby, Claudia (Duane) Schindel of Lavington, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as two great-great-grandchildren. He is further survived by his sister, Julia Schile of Lethbridge, Alberta; two brothers, George (Eleanor) and Henry (Shonnie) of Calgary, Alberta and several nieces and nephews. Ray was predeceased by his mother, father, five brothers and sisters.
A Memorial Tea was held in the Tea Room of Pleasant Valley Funeral Home on Saturday, October 18th, 2008. Burial followed at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Pleasant Valley Funeral Home.
