Survivors include four daughters: Melissa Halterman, of the home, Penny Perkins (Fred), of Camdenton, Verna James, of Loveland, CO, Vanessa Cronk (Larry), of Colorado; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one brother, Ronald Halterman, of Richmond; as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, John and Jessie Halterman, and wife, Florence June Combs; Roy was preceded in death by one daughter, Lynette DeRosier; two sons, John A. and Joe D. Halterman; three brothers: Donald, George and Bob Halterman; and six sisters: Meta Halterman, Dixie Lierman, Marcella Crawford, Rebecca Holman, Peggy Holman and Gale Jean Green.

Roy Allen Halterman, 85, of Malta Bend, MO, died Friday, March 13, 2020 at his home.

Born January 4, 1935 in Hardin, MO, he was the son of the late John and Jessie Halterman. Roy was a graduate of Hardin High School and earned an associate degree from Wentworth Military Academy. On May 4, 1956 he married Florence June Combs who preceded him in death on December 28, 2009. Roy retired from the United States Army, having served 22 ½ years. He was awarded four bronze stars by the President of the United States of America for action against hostile forces in Vietnam and four Army commendation medals by the Secretary of Army.
