1902, AA (Amos "Andy") Neher, of Brethern faith came to Lordsburg (now La Verne, CA) then to San Dimas (CA) to establish a general merchandise store. On the northeast corner of Bonita and Monte Vista, he built a 2 story frame building with living rooms aboe the store. In 1903 he sold the store to a group of citrus growers who called it "The Cooperative Store" and went east. 1 1/2 years later he returned to San Dimas and bought back the store. In 1911 he moved the first building back to the alley and built the concrete building named "AA Neher Block" on Bonita Ave (San Dimas CA). It was a grocery and drygoods store.

Amos Andy Neher married Fannie E Ehresman On October 11, 1891 in Clinton County Indiana where each were born. Their children were a daughter Effie G Neher, b 1893 and a son Elmer C Neher born in 1895. Both children were born in Indiana. Census Report 1900.
