Burdette Marlin Berens was born near Wood, Iowa on Jan. 1, 1922 to Paul Berens and Edith (Edie) Bissell Berens.

Graduated from Edgewood High School in Class of 1939

He married Patricia Hosey on October 29, 1955

Dr Berens was a graduate of University of Dubuque and of the University of Iowa college of medicine.

He practiced in Lansing, Michigan for 10 years and then moved and was a member of the Kalkaska memorial Health Center. He was a WW II vet.
