She was born March 6, 1911, in Moyers, Okla., and resided in Plainview from 1954-1999. She was director of elementary education for Plainview public schools. She received her master's degree and post graduate work at Texas Tech. She had professional memberships in many associations and was a leader. She was a member of Kappa Delta Pi Honorary Society in Education, Dean's List and was an active member in the First Christian Church in Plainview. She was a very accomplished pianist and knew every church hymn by heart. She moved to Fort Worth eight years ago to be closer to her daughter.
She was proceeded in death by her husband, Carlton E. Grady, in May 1995.
She is survived by her daughter of Fort Worth, Carole Ann Fleming; two grandsons, Jeff Blakeman and wife, Cristina, and Chad Blakeman and wife, Lisa; and two great-grandchildren, Cole and Cade Blakeman.
