Daughter of Nancy Goiet and Chester Dickinson, she married Avery S. Anderson on Jan 4, 1871. They had 4 children, Belle (Clements), Glen, Ward & Tracy. Avery died in 1897.

In 1900 she married Edward Halsey, who died in 1904.

She was a very active member of the First Methodist Episcopal Church of Mexico.

Lida Dickenson Halsey, aged 77 years, died at the home of her son Glen Anderson, two miles west of this village on the Mexico-Maple View state road, Saturday morning August 24th after an illness of several weeks.

Mrs. Halsey was the daughter of Chester and Nancy Goit Dickinson and was born in the town of Richland, May 29, 1852. She was twice married, her first husband being Avery Anderson whom she married January 4, 1871, and to them were born four children, Ward Anderson of Pulaski, Tracy Anderson of Alhambra, California, Glen Anderson of Maple View and Mrs. Belle Clements, of Monrovia, California. She is also
survived by several grandchildren. Mr. Anderson died February 16 1897.

In August 1900 she married her second husband, Edward Halsey who died in October, 1904.

Mrs. Halsey had been a resident of the town of Mexico for the past sixty years. She was a very active member of the First Methodist Episcopal church of this village; a lady highly respected by all who knew her.

Last rites were held from the home of her son, Glen Anderson, Monday afternoon at two o'clock, Rev. C.F. Miller of Rome, N.Y., a former pastor of the Mexico M.E. church officiating. Interment was made in the family plot in Primitive cemetery. The floral offerings were many and beautiful. The bearers were C.E. Allen, C.H. Reidell, Fred Harmes, R.V. Backus.
