Joshua-James will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service. The family will receive friends Sunday, June 1, 2008, from 6:00 p. m. to 8 p. m. at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Southland Chapel.
Joshua, 19, passed away May 29, 2008. He was a member of Westside Baptist Church and the U. S. Army Reserve. He loved to play video games and ride his motorcycle. He was a loving son, brother, and grandson.
Joshua is survived by his father and step-mother, Mark and Sheryl Abbott; his mother and step-father Cathy and Cecil Scoggins; his sisters, Stephanie Elizabeth Abbott, and Olivia Ardella Abbott; his grandparents, Betty and Frank Strange, Alice and John Jesse, and Blanche Scoggins; his aunts, uncles, cousins and his special friend, Whitney Smith.
He is predeceased by his grandparents, James and Judy Dixon and Harry Abbott.
The family asks that memorials be made to the Westside Baptist Church Youth Ministry or to the church mission fund.
The family will be at the home of Betty and Frank Strange, 2011 Bay Street, Cayce, S. C.
Caughman-Harman Funeral Home at Southland is in charge of the arrangements.
