Born in Marion on June 19, 1926 to the late Lawrence Sylvester and Clara V. Barr Pletcher, Mary Ellen Henry, of Marion, died on Sunday, August 12, 2001 at Ohio State University Hospital in Columbus. She was 75.

She married Chester Arthur Henry, Jr., on Sept. 25, 1948. He preceded her in death on December 3, 1994.

A registered nurse at Marion General Hospital and Community MedCenter prior to retirement in 1988, she was a 1944 graduate of Harding High School and in 1948 from Lima School of Nursing.

Along with her parents and husband, she was predeceased by four brothers, Warren, Richard, Lawrence and Clifford Pletcher.

She is survived by one son; two daughters; six grandchildren; a sister, Glendora Burgraff of Stoutsville; brothers, Roy Pletcher of California and Wayne Pletcher of Huber Heights, Ohio; plus nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services in Oakland United Methodist Church and interment in Marion Cemetery.
