From the Garrett Clipper dated 19 Sept 1927...

John B. Andrews passed away Saturday morning at 5:50 o'clock at the home of his daughter, Mrs. D. A. Warfield of East Garrett from heart disease. he had been ill the past twenty years and had been a patient of the State Hospital of
Toledo, O., from the beginning of his illness until five weeks ago when he was brought to his daughter's home.

He was born December 15, 1849, at Toronto. Canada, moving to this country when he was twenty years of age and settled at Defiance, O., where he was employed as a square timber man, until his marriage with Victoria Crookton at Sherwood, O., in 1880. They lived lived at Sherwood until the time of his illness. Six children were born to them three of whom are dead.

Mr. Andrews is survived by his widow and five children, Mrs. Emma Wines of Van Wert, O., Mrs. D. A. Warfield of Garrett, J. F. Andrews of Ashland, O., N. G. Andrews of Van Wert, and W. W. Andrews of Garrett, a sister, Mrs. Nellie Allonde of Saginaw, Mich., and two brothers, Oliver of Toledo and Joseph of Toronto, Canada, six grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Short services will be held at the home of Mrs. Warfield Monday morning at 9 o'clock after which the body will be taken to Sherwood where services will be held and interment will be mae in the Sherwood cemetery.
