March 18, 2020:

Marilyn Buck, age 69, formally of Fulton, Missouri passed away at Hill View Nursing Home in Platte City, Missouri on March 18, 2020.

Marilyn was born November 10, 1950, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, the daughter of Emery "Bud" and Pauline Edith (Dye) Duncan. In 2006 Marilyn married John Buck and he survives her passing.

Being the daughter of a military family, Marilyn had many homes growing up, including three years in Germany. She returned to Central Missouri area and finished high school in Jefferson City, Missouri. She graduated in 2008 from University of Missouri School of Journalism.

Marilyn was a master gardner who enjoyed crafting, traveling and loved all animals. She will be remembered for her hugh heart and giving nature. The last five years of her life were spent relaxing, traveling and working in RV parks in Texas, Georgia and North Carolina.

Marilyn will be greatly missed by her husband of fourteen years, John; a son, Brian C. Oetting (Jennifer); grandchildren, Brian C. Oetting Jr., Stephen A. Oetting (Emalie), Sarah Oetting (Tyler and Drake Oetting (Morgan); great-grandchildren, Adelynn Mae, Kennedy Ann, Jace Grabriel, Harper Jolee, Bella Hallie, Roy, Millicent Joan and Isan Lucille.

In addition to her parents, Marilyn was preceded in death by one son, Bradley Oetting and one brother, Bob Duncan.

Services will be planned at a later date.
