Dorothy W. Paul, Coal Township

Dorothy W. Paul, of Mountain View Manor for 1 12 years, formerly of North Eighth Street, Shamokin, died Monday, July 12, 1999, at Shamokin Area Community Hospital, where she was admitted Sunday.

She was born in Shamokin, a daughter of the late William and Annie (Wagner) Fisher.

She and Walter Paul were married Dec. 14, 1940, in Berwick. He died Nov. 18, 1973.

She attended Shamokin schools. Mrs. Paul was employed by Eagle Silk Mill as a seamstress, by Shroyer Dress Co., as a cook by Wayside Inn and last by Burger King. She was a member of the International Ladies Garment Worker's Union. Mrs. Paul was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Shamokin.

Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Charles Reed of Northumberland and Eileen and Bruce Wetzel of Pitman; 10 grandchildren; seven greatgrandchildren; nine great-greatgrandchildren; one sister, Ann Polastre of Stowe; and by Anna Gable's children, Linda West and Penny Balavage and Andrew and Richard Gable. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Ann Gable, and one stepson, William T. Paul.

Visitors may call from noon to 1 Thursday at the Farrow Funeral Home, Sixth and Chestnut streets, Shamokin. The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home by the Rev. William Sherman. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Coal Township.
