Shamburg - Rev. W. H. Harmon and Mrs. Harmon was in to see Joseph Campbell last Friday but he had passed away since he died last Sunday morning and will be buried at Pine Grove Cemetery, Tuesday afternoon. The services will be held at his house at 2 o'clock by Rev. Harmon. Mr. Campbell was well known around Shamburg and had many friends. The old folks are dropping off around here and soon the rest will be old and take their places. Alexander Campbell was born in County Tyrone, Ireland, July 2, 1844. He came to this country in 1865, having lived with his parents at Millerstown for some years. He later settled at Madison in 1877. Three years later he was united in marriage to Elizabeth Grossman of West Sunbury, Butler County. To this union seven children were born, four of which preceded their father in death. Those left to mourn are his loving wife, and three sons, Frank of Grove City, Thomas and Burt at home.
