Born in Utica on May 22, 1908, she was the daughter of Charles J. and Anna B. Sears. She married Joseph W. Prokop in 1936. He passed away in 1972.
Surviviors are a daughter, Mary Ann Prokop of Clinton; a son and daughter-in-law, Timothy and Marilyn Prokop of Palmyra; a sister, Mrs. Vincent (Rosemary) Ealy of Utica; two brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Eleanor Sears, Henry, of Illinois and James and Patricia Sears of Orland, Illinois; several nieces and nephews.
Two brothers, Edward and Charles Sears, and two sisters, Dorothy Sears and Mrs. Elizabeth Bialas, died before her.
The funeral was on August 6th, from the Owens-Pavlot Funeral Service, Inc., and Saint Mary’s Church, of which she was a member, with burial in the parish cemetery.
