She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph C. and Carrie Belanger Bourg; five brothers, Charles, Fane, Don, Loren and Norman Bourg; and one sister, Nell Dover.

Sister Bourg entered the Congregation of the Marianites of Holy Cross in 1929. She was an elementary and high-school teacher. She taught at Sts. Peter and Paul, St. Rita, Holy Name of Mary and Holy Angels in New Orleans. She also taught at St. Basil in Plaquemine, St. Francis in Houma, Sacred Heart in Morgan City, St. John in Plaquemine, St. John in Franklin, Academy of the Immaculate Conception (Opelousas Catholic) in Opelousas. She served as principal at Sacred Heart in Morgan City. She was involved in tutoring and in parish ministry in Opelousas. She served on the staff, and in the library and computer lab at Our Lady of Holy Cross College in New Orleans. She had been in residence at Prompt Succor Nursing Facility in Opelousas, where she continued her ministry of prayer.
