Enlisted at Carlisle PA on 21 Aug 1861; mustered in as a Private at Harrisburg PA on 30 Sep 1861; temporarily transferred to 90th Pennsylvania Infantry on 4 Feb 1864; captured on 19 Aug 1864 during the battle of the Weldon Railroad near Petersburg, VA; incarcerated in the stockade at Salisbury NC; paroled on 1 Mar 1865; honorably discharged on 6 Mar 1865.

Son of Phaon & Sarah Lucinda (Guth) Albright and stepson of Lucinda Albright. In 1860, he was an engineer living in Allentown, Lehigh County PA. He stood 5' 6" tall and had dark hair and gray eyes.
