OBITUARY:
Died on Saturday, February 8, 2020, at Ascension Borgess Hospital. Donald was born on May 15, 1947, in Battle Creek, the son of Clayton F. and Buelah M. (Bissett) Pifer. He was a graduate of Springfield High School where he played baseball, football and basketball. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. navy. He married the former Sheila F. Hixon who survives. Donald worked for the Kellogg Company for 32 years, retiring in 2000. He is survived by his wife Sheila; a daughter, Tina(Pifer) Mallo; step-children, Brian (Dawn) Hixon and Jeffrey Hixon; grandchildren, Nicholas Hixon, Gavin Bass, Trenton Hixon, Gabriella Mallo and Gracey Mae Mallo. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, February 14, 2020 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Pastor Don Roscoe officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Private interment will take place at Memorial Park Cemetery.
