Rita B. Gauger, age 67, of Manitowoc, died Thursday, January 20, 2000,
at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, January 24, 2000, at
First Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. Officiating will be Rev. Steven Olson.
Rita was born August 13, 1932, in La Crosse, Wis., daughter of the late
Edward and Lois Adkins Saphner. She married William H. Gauger on
September 26, 1958 in Detroit, Mich. She was raised in Rosendale, Wis.
She attended Rosendale High School and later graduated from the Wisconsin
State College, Milwaukee. Rita was a kindergarten teacher for the La Crosse
Public School and the Manitowoc Public Schools. She was a member of First
Lutheran Church and the First Lutheran Church Women. She was an active
volunteer at First Lutheran Church and also the Capital Civic Centre.

service at 11 a.m. at First Lutheran Church, Manitowoc.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Lutheran Church.
