Benjamin's unmarked grave was among the thirty graves removed from the Castleman Cemetery to Mt. Juliet Cemetery in Wilson Co. when Percy Priest Lake was created

Benjamin's considered Hannah Smith as his wife, although they were not married. She was the mother of his sons.
Suit filled against Benjamin's estate by son,Sanford that Hannah should not inherit as they were not legally married.

Benjamin served in the War of 1812, was wounded in Nov 1813 at Taledego. Later he was in the battle at New Orleans 1814-1815. Proven.

10 Jan 1870 Benjamin's Will was recorded. His Will was written some 28+ years earlier on 20 Oct 1841, he named his "five sons born of Hannah Smith", Sandifer, Franklin, Joseph, John and Benjamin. [son John supposedly died in 1852]. (Davidson Co., TN Will Book 21 p. 431.)
