Irene H. Zimmerhakel, age 95, formerly of Two Rivers, died Wednesday, February 17, 1999, at St. Mary's Home, Manitowoc.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, February 19, 1999, at Klein & Stangel Funeral Home. Rev. Don Staude will officiate with burial at Forest View Cemetery, Two Rivers.
She was born June 29, 1903, in Two Rivers, daughter of the late Albert and Hattie Kummerow Demsien. She married Robert Zimmerhakel on March 28, 1925, in Menominee County, Mich. He preceded her in death on June 20, 1980.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Wallace and Delores Zimmerhakel, Mishicot; one daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Melvin Thomas, Two Rivers; one brother, Ned Demsien, Mishicot; four grandchildren, Bruce W. Zimmerhakel, Mishicot, Bonnie (Lee) Weber, Greg (Kathy) Thomas, all of Manitowoc, Glenn (Debbie) Thomas, Sturgeon Bay; six great-grandchildren, Amy, Jenny, Kayla, Jenna, Matt and Bryce; other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one brother, Edwin Demsien; two sisters, Mabel Sehloff and Ethel Eis.
