June H. Wilsmann, age 68, of 1916 Roosevelt Avenue, Two Rivers, passed away on Thursday afternoon, May 13, 1993, at the Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc, following a courageous fight with cancer.
June (Ahrens) Wilsmann, was born in Rockford, Ill., on June 16, 1924, to the late Elmer O. and Helen Oestreich Ahrens. She attended Two Rivers schools and graduated in 1942 from Washington High School. Mrs. Wilsmann worked as a welder on many submarines during World War II and then married Elmer Wilsmann on June 30, 1945, at Emanuel Methodist Church in Two Rivers. She presently was employed with the ACE Net Company and was member of the Emanuel United Methodist Church being active in many church functions.
She is survived by her husband Elmer Wilsmann, Two Rivers; two daughters and a son-in-law, Dianne and Donald Lichterman, Two Rivers, and Nancy Wilsmann, Plymouth; one son, David Wilsmann, Green Bay; two grandchildren, Debra and Gary Zipperer, Two Rivers and Dean Lichterman, Two Rivers; one great granddaughter, Alicia; a sister-in-law, Louise and Giles Zigmund, Manitowoc; a brother-in-law, Howard and Betty Wilsmann, Manitowoc; an aunt, Winifred and Lynford Meyer, Appleton; an uncle, Franklin Oestreich, Two Rivers; a special friend, Joan Klein, Plymouth. She is further survived by a niece and a nephew other relatives and many friends.
The family may be greeted from 1-3 p.m. on Sunday, May 16, 1993, at the Emanuel Church in Two Rivers with the Celebration of Hymns and Thanksgiving to follow at 3 p.m. The Rev. Frederik Schulz will officiate with burial to follow at the Forest View Cemetery, Two Rivers.
Memorials may be made to the Emanuel Singing Tower Fund or to the Cancer society. June devoted her time to her family, friends and church.
The Klein and Stangel Funeral Home, Two Rivers assisted the family with funeral arrangements.
