CLARA WATSON

(1866 - 1952)


Mrs. Clara Watson, 85, who had been making her home with her daughter, Mrs. Al Vogel, 1614 S. 14th St., Manitowoc, for nearly six years, died at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, early Wednesday morning.


Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in St. James Episcopal Church, Manitowoc, the Rev. F.C. St. Clair officiating. Interment will be in Forest View Cemetery, Two Rivers.


Mrs. Watson, nee Clara Scheibe, was born in Plymouth in 1867 (sic), a daughter of the late August and Anna Naether Scheibe. She was married at Plymouth in 1898 to Ora Watson, who died in Two Rivers in 1946. Since her husband's death she made her home with her daughter at Manitowoc.


Surviving Mrs. Watson are two daughters, Mrs. Al Vogel of Manitowoc and Mrs. Al Powell of San Fernando, Calif., three sisters, Mrs. Meta Scheibe and Mrs. Irma Burke, both of Plymouth, and Mrs. D.B. Richardson of Poughkeepsie, N.Y., and a brother, Oscar Scheibe of Plymouth.


Friends may call at the Mittnacht Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 2 p.m. Thursday to 10 a.m. Friday when the body will be taken to the church, to lie in state until time of services. The funeral will be conducted by the Klein & Stangel Inc. Funeral Home, Two Rivers.
