He was killed in battle near Petersburg, Va, and was originally buried at Blanford Cemetery memorial# 11962865) in Petersburg. See http://www.petersburgcemetery.org/blandford/detail.asp?search=48561 which notes: "Moved to S.C." Also, the block labeled "Grave" says: "Moved". Thus his body was later moved to the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery, Cross Anchor, Spartanburg County, SC (this memorial# 20859590).
