"Norman Thomaschefsky, 49, of 753 S. Lincoln St., Denver, Colorado; former commander of Eleven Gold Star Post 1248, Veterans of Foreign Wars of Two Rivers, died unexpectedly while vacationing at Lincoln, Nebraska.

"Mr. Thomaschefsky was born April 27, 1917, at Two Rivers, son of the late John Thomaschefsky and Mrs. Bessie Charney Thomaschefsky. He attended Two Rivers public schools and was graduated from Two Rivers Washington High School. He was employed at Hamilton Mfg. Company and Mirro Aluminum Company; for several years prior to moving to Denver, he operated Port Sandy Bay tavern, north of Two Rivers.

"At Denver he was employed at the Post Office. He was a veteran of World War II, having served with the U.S. Coast Guard from June 21, 1941, to June 27, 1946, as a pharmacist mate second class. Active in affairs of the Two Rivers VFW post he served as commander in 1954-55. He married the former Jerri Harris at Denver in 1957.

"Besides his wife and mother he leaves two daughters, Mrs. Linda Harper, of Manitowoc and Mrs. Sharon Burrows, of Michigan; a son Craig, in Formosa; a brother, Richard, of Two Rivers and two grandchildren."
