Florine T. Adamec, 79, of Hudson Avenue, Stillwater, died on Sunday, August 8th, at St. Mary's Hospital, Troy, surrounded by her family following a lengthy illness. Florine was born in Troy on November 10, 1930, daughter of Morgan E. & Cecilia H. Monty Lewis. She was raised in Mechanicville and graduated from Mechanicville High School. She was the wife of Anthony J. (Tony) Adamec, whom she married on October 15, 1950 at St. Paul's Parish in Mechanicville.

Florine was a devoted housewife, mother and professional seamstress. She was a communicant of St. Peter's Church, Stillwater, and a member of the Saratoga County Ladies Home Bureau. She loved to do gardening and to cook.

Survivors, in addition to her husband, Tony, include two sons, Anthony J. ( Cheryl) Adamec, Jr. of VanBuren, OH, and Frank J. (Kathy Adams) Adamec of Stillwater; two daughters, Theresa M. (Michael) Bracken of Palmbay, FL, and Colleen A. (Joseph Robison) Adamec of Stillwater; and one sister, Rosemary Waters of Troy; four grandchildren, Scott Bracken, Frank J. Adamec, Jr., Anthony (AJ) Adamec and Casey Adamec; two great-grandchildren, Dalton and Ember Roberts; and many nieces and nephews. Florine was predeceased by a daughter, Linda and siblings, Morgan L. Lewis, Jr. and Bernice Mastropietro.

Relatives and friends may attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter's Church, 895 N. Hudson Ave., Stillwater, on Friday (Aug. 13) at 9 a.m. Interment will be in St. Paul's Cemetery, Mechanicville. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory are requested to the Stillwater Food Pantry, P.O. Box 480, Stillwater, NY 12170 or dropped off at the Stillwater United Church, 747 N. Hudson Ave., Stillwater.
