Mrs. John Tangen, 77, a resident of Two Rivers more than 50 years, who had been residing with her husband at Shady Lane Home, Manitowoc, for the past two years, died Monday night at the Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc. She was stricken with a heart attack Friday.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Calvary Lutheran Church, Two Rivers, the Rev. Carl Ipsen officiating. Burial will be in Forest View Cemetery, Two Rivers.

Mrs. Tangen, nee Anna Johnson, was born in Norway Oct. 22, 1878, and in 1902 she was married at Bamle, Norway, to John Tangen. In 1903 the couple immigrated to this country, settling in Two Rivers, where she resided until taking up her residence at the Shady Lane Home. She was active in affairs of Calvary church for a number of years.

Besides her husband she leaves a sister, Mrs. Abraham Roseland of Racine, and a number of nieces and nephews, including Edward Tangen of Two Rivers.

Friends may call at the Klein & Stangel Inc., Funeral Home after 2 p.m. Wednesday.
