Emil Strutz, 62, 2212 Emmett St., Two Rivers, an office employe of the Hamilton Manufacturing Company, Two Rivers, for 35 years, retiring last July, died at his home shortly before 7 a.m. Monday.

Mr. Strutz had been in failing health for nearly three years, forcing his retirement from his work last summer. He had been confined to his home for more than six months.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Beduhn, Deja & Martin Inc., Funeral Home, Two Rivers, and at 2:30 p.m. at St. John Lutheran Church, Two Rivers, the Rev. W.G. Haase officiating. Interment will be in Forest View Cemetery, Two Rivers.

Emil Strutz was born at Cecil, Shawano County, in 1890, a son of the late Frederick and Augusta Blank Strutz. He took employment in the stock records department of the Hamilton Manufacturing Company office in 1917 and had remained in that department up to the time of his retirement. He was an active member of the Hamilton Goodfellowship club and was also affiliated with the Hamilton 30-Year Club.

In 1923 he married Carrie Prestien of the town of Two Creeks at Two Rivers, who survives him with two daughters, Mrs. Emil Cigler of Two Rivers, and Miss Carol Strutz at home, and a son, Allan Strutz, also at home. There are also two brothers, Herman of Lynhurst, Wis., and William Strutz of Oconto, a half-brother, Otto Moesch of Bonduel, Wis., and four step-sister, Mrs. C. Wanner of Almena, Wis., Mrs. Adolph Bierbaum of Wabeno, Mrs. Paul Wudtke of Cecil, and Mrs. Frank Strutz of Hayward, Cal. There are two grand-children.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 p.m. Tuesday until the time of services.

Wedding bells called to the marriage altar Tuesday afternoon, Miss Carrie Prestein of Two Creeks and Emil F. Strutz of this city and the nuptial knot was tied by Rev. W. G. Haase. The bride and groom were attended by Miss Esther Prestein, sister of the bride and Arthur Kubitz. Miss Prestein has been residing at home with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Prestien, while the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Strutz of Cecil, Wis., and is now employed in the offices of the Hamilton Manufacturing Company. After the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. Strutz departed for Cecil where they will spend the weekend at the home of the former's parents. They will be home to friends after May 20.
