CECIL D. GARNSEY, age 90 of Clio, died Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at Cranberry Manor in Clio. A memorial service will be held at 3PM on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at the Mumford- Hudson Funeral Home, with Pastor Dick Warner officiating. Honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors on Saturday, April 27, 2019 from 2PM until the time of service at the funeral home. Cecil was born on September 12, 1928 to Harry and Lillie (Stebbins) Garnsey. He served in the US Army during the Korean War conflict. He retired in 1988 from Fisher Body after 40 years of service. He also served on the Forest Twp. Board of Appeals for 26 years. Cecil was a Detroit Pistons and Detroit Lions Fan. He enjoyed being outside and was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved his tractors. He is survived by his wife, Berneice; sons: David (Carol) Garnsey and Gary (Christine) Garnsey; and grandchildren: Madison, Jordan, John, and Gavin. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters: Erma Garnsey and Onalee Garnsey; and brothers: Floyd Garnsey and Harold Garnsey.
