Amanda E. Shimulunas, 89, formerly of 2009 Jefferson Street, Two Rivers, died Wednesday at Park Lawn Home, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be 10:30 am Saturday at St. John Lutheran Church, Two Rivers, Rev. David Scherbarth officiating. Burial will be in Forest View Cemetery, Two Rivers.
She was born in the Town of Two Rivers October 26, 1900 of the late Frank and Minnie Broecker Neiner. She married Anton Shimulunas April 24, 1920 at Two Rivers. He preceded her in death on February 21, 1967. She was a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary and the Manitowoc County Chapter of Gold Star Mothers.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, George and Marion Shimulunas of Two Rivers, Clarence and Doris Shimulunas of Two Rivers, Arthur and Elaine Shimulunas of Lakeland, Florida; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Bernice Wilkinson of Azuna, California, Doris and Arthur Vogel of Two Rivers, Shirley and George Anderson of West Covina, California; 22 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Leroy, three infant daughters, two sisters and one brother.
Friends may call at Klein and Stangel from 4-8 pm Friday at the funeral home and 9:30 am Saturday at the church until the time of services. V.F.W. Auxiliary service will be held at 6:30 pm Friday at the funeral home.
