Ella E. Schultz, age 96, a resident of North Ridge Medical and Rehabilitation Center, died early Saturday morning Oct. 20, 2007, at the center.
Ella was born on March 22, 1911, in Wisconsin Rapids, daughter of the late William and Carrie Behrend Schuman. On April 6, 1937, she married Albert Schultz at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on Jan. 28, 1966. Before marriage Ella was employed with the Aluminum Goods for 13 years. She also worked at Two Rivers Hamilton Home for seven years and was a member of the Bible class at St. John's Ev. Lutheran church. She also was a part of the social group, quilters and the Ladies Aid Society at St. John's.
Survivors include two sisters-in-law, Ruth Schuman, Maribel, Evelyn Schuman, Two Rivers; a special niece, Susan Schuman, Two Rivers; three special nephews, Greg (Mary) Schuman, Manitowoc, Michael Schuman, Two Rivers, Robert Schuman, Manitowoc; two special great nieces, Lynn (Justin) Haese and Amy (Matt) Petersen and their children, Emma and Austin; other nieces, Patrician Reimer, Two Rivers, Bonnie Schuman, Two Rivers, Carol Schuman, Denmark; special friend, Meta Menges, Two Rivers. Other relatives and friends also survive. Ella also was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister-in-law, Arthur and Florence Schuman, Edward Schuman and Fritz Schuman; and one nephew, Richard Schuman.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday Oct. 23, 2007 at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, Two Rivers. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. David Arndt with burial to follow at Forest View Cemetery, Two Rivers.
The family will greet relatives and friends from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2007 at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, Two Rivers.
The family would like to thank the entire staff of North Ridge Medical and Rehabilitation Center of Manitowoc for the special care given to Ella over the past six years. The Klein & Stangel Funeral Home, Two Rivers is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
