Former Alderman Here Dies at Mishicot Saturday
Funeral services for Albert Schmidt, 86, retired town of Mishicot farmer and former member of the city council here who died at the home of his son George Schmidt in the town of Mishicot Saturday noon, will be held tomorrow. Services will be held from the Klein and Stangel, Inc., funeral home at 1:30 and at 2 o'clock from the St. John's Lutheran church. The Rev. W.G. Haase will officiate and burial will be in Forest View cemetery.
Albert Schmidt died on the farm where he spent the greater share of his life. His parents, the late Carl and Mary Schmidt came here from Germany in 1856. He married Mary Koch of this city in 1885 and for some time the family resided in Sheboygan and in this city. He held the office of councilman while residing here and was a faithful member of the St. John's Lutheran church. He left this city in 1898 when he purchased the farm from his parents and spent the remainder of his life there.
Besides the widow he is survived by two sons, George and Carl; a daughter, Mrs. Herman Liese of Mishicot; four sisters, three brothers and five grandchildren.

Albert Schmidt was born in Mishicot and in 1885 married Miss Mary Koch of Two Rivers. For some time they resided in Two Rivers and Sheboygan. He was a councilman at Two Rivers and a member of the St. Johns Lutheran church. He left Two Rivers in 1898, purchasing the Mishicot farm from his parent and spent the remainder of his life there.
Besides the widow he is survived by two sons, George and Carl; a daughter, Mrs. Herman Liese of Mishicot; four sisters, three brothers and five grandchildren.
