Marie Gabrielle von Urach [full given name: Marie Gabrielle Sophie José Elisabeth Albertine Almeria], more familiarly known as Mariga, was the only child of Prince Albrecht von Urach, and his morganatic first wife, Rosemary Blackadder. She was married at Oxford on July 3, 1954 to the Hon. Desmond Guinness, the second son of Bryan Guinness, 2nd Baron Moyne, and his first wife, Diana Mitford. She and her husband founded the Irish Georgia Society which has been responsible for the restoration of many important buildings in Ireland.
