During their careers with the California Department of Corrections, Mrs. Sloan was one of the first employees transferred from CMF on Terminal Island, San Pedro, when it was relocated and became the California Medical Facility in April of 1955 in Vacaville. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and her family said she will always be remembered in those revered capacities.
Mrs. Sloan was survived by her husband, Bob; daughters, Pamela of San Mateo and Bonnie Stearns of Gresham, Oregon; grandchildren, Shannon, Joshua and Andrew; and twin great-grandsons. There were no services. Arrangements were handled by Vaca Hills Chapel.
