Mitchell E. Ross, 61, of 2339-9th Pl., Two Rivers, a retired veteran employe of the Hamilton Mfg. Co., Two Rivers, took his life Sunday morning. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Deja and Martin Funeral Chapels, Two Rivers, the Rev. T. F. Stern officiating. Burial will be in Forest View Cemetery.

Mr. Ross was born March 5, 1900, at Shiocton, Wis., son of the late Otto and Anna Lemke Ross. He attended elementary schools at Shiocton and Oct. 6, 1920, he married the former Esther Gallow at Hortonville where the couple operated a farm until coming to Two Rivers in 1929. He had been an employe of Hamilton Mfg. Co. for 29 years, starting as a welder in the steel plant and later for years until his retirement because of ill health in October of 1958, he was a stock checker in the drafting, laboratory, library and contract assembly department. He was a former director of the Hamilton Credit Union, a member of the Hamilton Goodfellowship Club and St. John Lutheran congregation of Two Rivers.

Besides his wife he leaves a daughter, Mrs. B. R. McIntyre, of Vicksburg, Miss.; a son, Laverne Ross, of Manitowoc; two sisters, Mrs. Henry Lauer, of Appleton and Mrs. Arthur Winterfeldt of Hortonville; two brothers, Edward and Wesley, of Shiocton and six grandchildren.

Friends may call at the funeral chapels after 9 a.m. Tuesday.
