Janice M. Ringmeier, age 55, of 11823 Meyer Road, town of Two Creeks, died Tuesday, December 16, 1997, at her residence, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, December 19, 1997, at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Tisch Mills. Rev. Gerald B. Kempen O Praem will officiate with burial at Forest View Cemetery, Two Rivers.

She was born April 9, 1942, in Whitelaw, daughter of Richard and Luella (Hill) Muench. Janice was a graduate of Reedsville High School. She married Elroy Ringmeier in Kellnersville on June 3, 1961. She worked at Paragon Electric and as a waitress at Muench's Supper Club, Machut's Supper club and also at Fox Hills in Mishicot, Janice and her husband owned and operated Jan and Elroy's Bar in Two Creeks and they also operated a farm in Two Creeks. She was a member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Tisch Mills. Janice served as past president of the Two Rivers Lioness Club, she also served as treasurer of the Farm Bureau Women's Committee and was a member of the Two Creeks Cable Committee and the Manitowoc Early Birds Bowling League. Janice enjoyed bowling and going to the casino.

Survivors include her husband, Elroy; one daughter and son-in-law, Vickie and Tim Sisel, Two Creeks; one son, Randy and his special friends, Chris, Two Creeks; eight grandchildren, Jennifer, Jason, Johnathon, Jeremy, Justin, Jeffrey and Jackie Sisel, Dominique Messman; her parents, Richard and Luella Muench Sr., Manitowoc; three brothers, Gary and Marlene Muench, Wisconsin Rapids, Richard Muench Jr., Manitowoc, Gene and Judy Muench, Sturgeon Bay; one sister, Linda Muench, Manitowoc; her mother-in-law, Lorene Meyer, Two Creeks; two sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law, Doris Riesterer, Two Rivers, Marlene and Leon Strutz, Two Rivers; one step-sister-in-law, Charlotte and Roger Klein, Two Rivers. Nieces, nephews and many special friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Raymond Ringmeier; her step-father-in-law, Walter Meyer and one brother-in-law, Art Riesterer.

Friends may call at the Lambert Funeral Home, Mishicot, from 4-9 p.m. Thursday (TONIGHT), where there will be a parish Wake Service at 6:30 p.m. The Two Rivers Lions and Lionesses clubs will assemble at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home to pay their respects. Friends may also call after 9 a.m. Friday at the church until the time of Funeral Mass at 11 a.m.

A memorial fund has been established in her name.
