Anton Remes, 57, of 2103 Garfield street, Two Rivers, died Sunday at the Two Rivers municipal hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Klein and Stangel, Inc. funeral home, Two Rivers, with burial in Forest View cemetery. The body may be viewed at the funeral home.

Born in Bohemia, in 1889, the deceased served in the army of his native country before coming to America in 1917 where he enlisted in the army of the United States in Nebraska. After doing duty in this country during World War I he settled in Chicago upon his discharge, moving later to Two Rivers where he was first employed at the F. Eggers Plywood and Veneer company and later at the Aluminum Goods company.

His first wife died here in 1943 and he later married Mrs. Mary Wotocheck of Two Rivers, who survives with a step-daughter, Mrs. Wilbert Kupsch of Two Rivers and a step-son, E. Sipple of Chicago.

He was a member of the Z.C.B.J. lodge.
