HARDWARE MAN DIES Thursday
Fred W. Reinhardt, 51, Dies After Long Illness

TWO RIVERS, (Special) —
In ill health for nearly two years, Fred W. Reinhardt, 51, hardware dealer and prominent church worker, died at his home at 2001 Washington street at 5:45 Thursday afternoon. He had been confined to bed since July.

Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Klein and Stangel funeral home and St. Johns Lutheran church. The Rev. W.G. Haase will officiate.

Mr. Reinhardt was born in the town of Newton, Manitowoc county, May 28, 1885, a son of the late Frederick and Emily Schroeder Reinhardt, early settlers in the township. He remained on the homestead farm until he was 17, when he went to Reedsville to learn the hardware business and tinsmith trade at the Pautz hardware store. A year later Mr. Reinhardt went to Chicago where he worked as a tinsmith and returned to Reedsville the following year, again entering the employ of the Pautz firm. He was married at Reedsville on Oct. 19, 1911 to Miss Emma Mueller of that village. Following their marriage the couple moved to Brillion where Mr. Reinhardt entered the partnership with his brother Emil in the hardware business, remaining there for 16 years.

Nine years ago Mr. Reinhardt came to this city and established his business at 20th and Washington street. It is now being conducted by his sons. He was an active member of St. John's Lutheran congregation and was a member of the board of trustees for the last seven years, having completed two terms.

Besides his widow, Mr. Reinhardt is survived by three sons, Clement, Florian and Frederick Jr., all at home. He is also survived by four sisters, Mrs. Jacob Born and Mrs. Ernst Hoefner, both of Manitowoc, and Mrs. William H. Damm and Mrs. William Reimer, both of Collins, Wis., and a brother, Emil Reinhardt of Brillion.

Burial will be in Forest View cemetery. Eight trustees of the church will serve as active pallbearers and ushers.
