LUANNE S. DUVENECK

Luanne S. Duveneck, age 77, a Manitowoc resident, died Friday, November 24, 2017 at Atrium Post Acute Care of New Holstein.


She was born on July 4, 1940 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Edward J. & Leona M. (Rosinsky) Rugowski. Luanne was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School, Class of 1958. On May 20, 1982 she married Robert C. Duveneck in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on October 22, 1999. Luanne was employed at JoAnn Fabrics, a local fabric and craft store for 18 years, retiring in 1996. The last 15 of those years were spent as the Assistant Manager of the Customer Service Department. She enjoyed sewing, playing on-line games and she loved her dog "Cookie" of 17 years, who passed away recently. Luanne enjoyed spending time with family and going out with the Fab 4 and other friends for dinner.


Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law: Susan & Paul Anderkin, Valders; one son and daughter-in-law: Robert D. & Kathryn Duveneck, Fond du Lac; three step daughters: Sharon Klinkner, Sherwood, AR., Denise Rettstatte, N. Little Rock, AR., Bobbi Jo Ellis, N. Little Rock, AR., ten grandchildren: Aislyn, Bryleigh, Olivia, Crystal, Jill, Amanda, Damian, Paul, Nicholas and Brandon; two great grandchildren; a sister-in-law: Janet Pribek; a brother-in-law: Leroy Duveneck; and a special niece: Barbara Awe, all of Manitowoc. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends survive. She was also preceded in death by two grandchildren: AshleyWeier, Stephanie Weier; three sisters and brothers-in-law: Jean (Bill) Holschbach, Phyllis (Orville) Kodet, Carole (Howard) Awe; and three sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law: Dorothy (Elmer) Nack, Janet Pribek, Mary Jane Duveneck and her mother-in-law and father-in-law: Helen & Ulrich Duveneck.


Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand (1416 Grand Avenue) Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Doug LeCaptain with entombment to follow at Calvary Mausoleum, Manitowoc.


The family will greet relatives and friends at The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Monday, November 27, 2017. A prayer service will conclude the visitation at 7:00 p.m. led by Deacon Alan Boeldt. The visitation will continue Tuesday morning at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand (1416 Grand Avenue) Manitowoc, from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.
