Barbara K. Age 85, widow of Robert C. Adams, of N. Fourth St., Towanda, PA, passed away Tuesday evening, October 7, 2003, at Memorial Hospital, Towanda, PA. Barbara was employed by GTE Sylvania in Towanda for over 25 years until her retirement. Surviving are her twin daughters, Carole A. Cummings of Corning, NY, Barbara A. Jackson and her husband, Robert P. Jackson of St. Albans, WV; four grandsons, Michael S. Cummings of Virginia Beach, VA, Jeremy T. Cummings of Corning, NY, Robert P. Jackson of Georgia, Christopher J. Jackson of St. Albans, WV; five great-grandchildren, Derick, Darcy, Kelsey, Kyla and Raychel Cummings; her brother, Lt. Col. Joseph S. Koch of San Antonio, TX; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. Adams on September 14, 1991; and by a grandson, Robert Charles Jackson in 1979. The family will receive friends Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Maryott-Bowen Funeral Home, 217 York Ave., Towanda, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, October 11, 2003, at 10 a.m. at S.S. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Third Street, Towanda, PA. Interment will follow in Bradford County Memorial Park, Luthers Mills, PA. Friends who wish may direct memorial contributions to the Bradford County Humane Society, P.O. Box 179, Ulster, PA 18850, or to the Alzheimer's Association, 919 North Michigan Ave., Suite 1000, Chicago, IL 60611 in Barbara K. Adams' memory.
