WILLIAMSPORT-Albert Ellsworth Packer, 68, of 232 E. Church St., this city, husband of Vesta [Lesta}M. Stout Packer, and father of Lawrence E. Packer, Renovo, died at 12:35 a.m. today in the Williamsport Hospital.
He was a native of Lock Haven, born March 19, 1900, a son of George and Emma Jane Watkins Packer. He was employed at the Williamsport Home as a custodian, working until he became ill about two weeks ago.
Mr. Packer was a member of the consolidated Sportsmen of Lycoming County.
Surviving with his wife are two daughters, Emma Jane, at Home; and Mrs. Jennie Lee Lewis, Proctor Star Route; two other sons, Ernest Sherwood, of McCarmel; and Richard Allen Packer, Williamsport; three step-brothers and three step-sisters: Orie and Myrle Gardner, Milton; Clarence Gardner, Tampa, Fla.; Mrs. Thelma Davis Philadelphia; Mrs. Violet Brown, White Plains, N.Y.; and Miss Lola Gardner, Lewisburg, also two grandchildren.
FUNERAL-PACKER-Services for Albert Ellsworth Packer, 68, of 232 E. church St., Williamsport, who died Tuesday, October 1, 1968 at 12:35 a.m. in the Williamsport Hospital, will be on Friday at 130 p.m. at the Page Funeral Home, 125 E. Third St., Williamsport. The Rev. Dr. J. Robert Houseman will officiate. Burial, North Bend Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home Thursday from 7 to 9 pm.
