Hannah Stump Archer died on March 29th at a nursing home near Philadelphia. She was born at Babbs Creek, Pa., on Aug. 14th, 1852. She was the daughter of Dr. Robert Harris and Deborah Jackson Archer, and was directly descended from Dr. John Archer of "Medical Hall", Harford Co. Md., who was the first physician to receive a medical diploma in the United States. She came in 1904 to make her home in Sandy Spring with her cousin Deborah Iddings. She had a unique and interesting personality, and to the end of her life a keen sense of humor. (F.P.I.)
