(1944 - 1996)

Allan (Rick) Zinda, age 51, of Hayward, Wis., formerly a Manitowoc resident, died Friday evening, August 9, 1996, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 13, 1996, at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Memorial Mass will be Rev. Carl Meulemans. In accordance with Rick’s wishes, cremation has taken place.

He was born November 28, 1944, in Two Rivers, son of Lorraine Lambert Zinda and the late Dominic Zinda. Rick was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School with the Class of 1962. On September 24, 1966, he married the former Sandy Leist at St. Paul Catholic Church, Manitowoc.

Survivors include his wife, Sandy Zinda, Hayward; a daughter and son-in-law, Tammie and Roger C. Diamond Jr., Green Bay; a granddaughter, Simone Diamond; his mother, Lorraine Zinda, Manitowoc; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Mary Lou and Lee Hacker, Cato, Vickie Zinda, Green Bay, Heidi Zinda, Brussels; one brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Jennifer Zinda, Green Bay. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Rich was also preceded in death by his father, Dominic Zinda, and an infant sister, JoDee.

Friends may call at St. Boniface Catholic Church Tuesday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m.

The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
