Edwardsville--Alvin E. "Bud" Bixen, 66, 424 Grandview Drive, died at 5 a.m. Tuesday at his residence.
He was co-owner and operator of Woodlawn Gardens Inc.
Born in Edwardsville, the son of the late J. Henry and Emma (Hartung) Blixen, he married Kathryn M. Bothman on March 4, 1937, in Edwardsville.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a son, John H. of St. Louis; a daughter, Kathleen Coagie of Thompson in Manitoba, Canada; two grandchildren; and three sisters, Elma Ryan of Largo, Fla., Mabel Reed and Marjorie Blixen, both of Edwardsville.
Visitation will be after 6 p.m. Thursday at the Weber Funeral Home, Edwardsville, where services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday with the Rev. Carl Bennett, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church officiating.
Burial will be in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
