James “Jim” Bean, of Arlington passed away Monday August 5, 2019. He was born on December 28, 1930 in Houston, Texas. Jim served in the Air Force as a Draftsman. However, he mostly played baseball while in the Air Force. He graduated from Texas A&M with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Jim was the first engineer at Menasco of Fort Worth. He was soon promoted to Vice President and General Manager. He was a longtime member of Grace Lutheran Church of Arlington.
Jim was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years Shirley Ann Bean.
