Mrs. Hugo (Meta) Habeck, 77, 12424 Cty Hwy R, Whitelaw, died Sunday morning, Sept. 3, 1995 at a Manitowoc Hospital.
The daughter of the late William and Rosalie (Knuth) Radue was born March 7, 1918 in the town of Cooperstown and remained in the Maribel area all her life. The former Meta Radue and Hugo Habeck were married June 17, 1944 at St. John Evangelical Lutheran church. She belonged to the Ladies Aid and was a lifelong member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her husband, Hugo and their two children, Louis (Larry) Schneider of Sheboygan and Lyle Habeck of Two Rivers; two grandsons, Todd (Holly) Schneider of Manitowoc and Thomas (Carmen) Schneider, Sheboygan; a great-granddaughter, Jordan Schneider; a brother, Hugo (Louise) Radue of Denmark; a sister-in-law, Verna (Alvin) Doell of Luxemburg; a brother-in-law, Harvey (Lorna) Habeck, Kewaunee; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Norma (Herbert) Kasten and her brother and sister-in-law, Hilmer (Verona) Radue. Friends may call at the Knutson Cotter Funeral Home, 536 Cty Hwy R, Denmark, from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. On Wednesday, friends may call from 10 a.m. until the funeral service at 11 a.m. at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Maribel with Pastor Michael R. Riley officiating.
