Alvin R. Carey, 71, of 442 Water St. NE, died Wednesday. Born in Saskatchewan, he came here 36 vears ago from Nebraska.

Survivors include his wife, Joanne; brothers, Lewis of Dallas, and Luther of Nuevo, California; and sisters, Essie Slack of Salem, Sarah Redd of Hemet, California, Dolly Linstedt of Gothenburg, Nebraska, Josie Munn of Medford, and Hildred Long of Gladstone.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Howell-Edwards-Doerksen mortuary. Interment will be in City View Cemetery.
