MRS. C. D. CLARK.
A 2.30pm yesterday, the funeral of Mrs. C.D. Clark, a highy respected resident of the Capital for the past 57 years, was held from her late residence, 459 Echo Drive, to the Church of the Ascension, and thence to Beechwood cemetery. Rev. F.H. Wimberley conducted the service. The chief mourners were five sons, Charles D., Arthur W., Victor T., Frederick J. and Harold G. Clark; four daughter, Mrs. Alfred G. Cowan, Mrs. Thomas Miller, Mrs. William Beaton and Miss Gertrude Clark, all of Ottawa; and thirty-five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Following an illness of only a few days duration, the late Mrs. Clark died at her home on Monday in her 78th year. She was born in Ashwelthorpe, Norfolk, Eng., in 1853, and came to Ottawa on her honeymoon in 1874. While in Ottawa she was a devoted attendant of the Church of the Ascension, of which she was one of the old parishioners. Floral tributes were received from the following: A pillow from the family; corsage, Elaine Boyd, a great-granddaughter; and flowers from Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Clark and family, the Church of the Ascension, Mr. And Mrs. A.V. Herbert, employes of Thomas Lawson and Sons, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Gibson, Mr. and Mrs. J.B. Beaton, Mr. and Mrs. N.O. Cuthbertson, Mr. and Mrs. C. Levine, Mrs. John Paquette, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Paquette, Miss Del Paquette, Mr. and Mrs. G.F. Guy and family, and Mr. and Mrs. J.D. MacGregor.
