Ella J. Wollersheim, age 85, formerly of Manitowoc, passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at Forest Lake, Minnesota.
The former Ella Jean McCormick was born on October 6, 1931 in Olmsted, IL, daughter of the late Joseph C. and Mary (Curry) McCormick. She was a 1949 graduate of Grand Chain High School, IL. On November 29, 1952 Ella was married to LeRoy Wollersheim in Grand Chain, IL. He preceded her in death on January 12, 2014. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish. Ella enjoyed a good book, movies with Clint Eastwood, her favorite actor, gardening and was a friendly, caring individual always wanting to help others.
Survivors include her three sons and daughters-in-law: Steven (Tamara) Wollersheim, Manitowoc; Allen (Cheryl) Wollersheim, Bethel, MN; Kevin (Pam) Wollersheim, Hopkins, MN and other friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents: Joseph and Mary McCormick; her husband: LeRoy Wollersheim; two brothers: William McCormick; James McCormick.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 3, 2017 at St. Francis of Assisi Parish on Grand, 1416 Grand Avenue, Manitowoc. The Rev. David Beaudry will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial with burial of her cremated remains at Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc at a later date. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m.
The Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home of Manitowoc is assisting the Wollersheim family.
