ROBERT G. HARTMAN
(1958 - 2016)

Robert "Rob" G. Hartman, age 58, of Atlanta, GA, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, November 17, 2016 in Atlanta, GA.

Rob was born on October 19, 1958 in Manitowoc, the son of Hermena (Weber) Hartman and the late Clarence "Jiggs" Hartman. Rob graduated from Holy Innocents grade school and also graduated from Roncalli High School in 1977. He attended the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire, graduating with a degree in marketing in 1981. Rob was the CEO and Co-Founder of two technology companies, Debit Design Technologies, Inc. and most recently Club Control Systems, Inc. He started his career working for American Television & Communications (ATC Corporation) in Austin, TX. After several promotions, he left the Cable TV industry to become the General Manager for B&W, Inc. in Orlando, FL. Rob was then recruited to Photographic Sciences Corporation, Inc. (PSC), as the Southeast Regional Sales Manager and was based in Atlanta, GA. Rob took his territory from being, traditionally, the worst in the company to being the best, where it stayed for the remainder of the 90's until his departure. After PSC was sold, Rob moved on to VP of Sales for Gap Technologies, where he implemented a sales and marketing strategy to develop the company's high tech product line. Finding his home in the technology industry, he launched his own company, Debit Design Technologies, to develop innovative software solutions for gift and loyalty card systems. As a longtime member of the Atlanta community, Rob was a true friend to all who knew him, always putting family and friends first. Hailing from Wisconsin, he was an avid Packers and Badgers fan who loved hanging out with his buddies. But on Sundays, you could always find him at TJ's Sports Bar enjoying the game with hundreds of his closest Cheeseheads. Rob never met a stranger. Anyone who met him immediately liked him. Rob was - a big man, towering over 6'5", but the biggest part of Rob Hartman was his tremendously kind heart. He will be dearly missed, but never forgotten!

Rob is survived by his mother: Hermena Hartman, Manitowoc; one sister and two brothers-in-law: Carol (Terry) Bartelt, West Bend; Ralph Thiel, AR; two brothers and three sisters-in-law: Tom (Diana) Hartman, Manitowoc; Randall (Claire) Hartman, Oregon; Donna Hartman, IL; several nieces and nephews: Julia Thiel; Jill Thiel; Jeanna Thiel; Wendy Kloiber; Holly Dumproff; Tina McKiernan; Andrew Hartman; Scott Hartman; Christopher Hartman, other friends and relatives also survive. Rob will be dearly missed by his loving partner of 5 years, Keri Lee Norman and by Tyler Bechwith, to whom he was a big brother. He was preceded in death by his father: Clarence "Jiggs" Hartman; one sister Luanne Thiel; one brother: Gary Hartman.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 25, 2016 at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo, 1121 North 14th Street, Manitowoc. The Rev. David Pleier will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial, with inurnment of his cremated remains to take place at Calvary Mausoleum. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of mass at 11:00 a.m.

The Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home of Manitowoc is assisting the family with arrangements.

Memorials donations in Rob's name would be appreciated for Roncalli High School.
