Fermin Dellinger
Fermin Davis Dellinger, 85, Willshire, died at 3:58 a.m. March 10, 2004, at Adams County Memorial Hospital, Decatur, Ind.
He was born May 15, 1918, in Willshire to Samuel Howard and Nellie Davis Dellinger. On Nov. 7, 1939, he married the former Mary M. Steele, who survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Richard D. (Marcella), Fort Wayne, Ind., Thomas M., Delaware, James S. (Vicki), Willshire; a daughter, Rebecca (Horst) Steinke, Decatur; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Deceased are two brothers, Max and Harold.
A farmer, he was owner/operator of Dellinger Brothers Inc., Willshire, and was a contractor for plumbing, heating, air conditioning and well drilling.
He was a member of Jehovah's Witnesses, Decatur, the Mercer County Farm Bureau and a past member of the Hardware Wholesalers, Fort Wayne.
Services are 1 p.m. Friday at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home, Rockford, Charles C. Cunningham officiating. Burial is in Willshire Cemetery.
Calling is 3:30 - 8 p.m. today and after 11 a.m. Friday.
